NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS - FY 2022 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN The West Virginia Department of Economic Development (WVDED) and the West Virginia Housing Development Fund (WVHDF) are conducting public hearings to receive input in the development of the State of West Virginia's FY 2022 Annual Action Plan (AAP). The FY2022 AAP will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) 45 days prior to July 1st, 2022 or within 60 days after the date 2022 allocations are announced, but no later than August 16, 2022. The purpose of the AAP is to guide the expenditure of funds for housing and community development in non-entitlement areas. The following programs and estimated funding allocations are included in the AAP: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) $14.6 million; HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) $5.1 million; Housing Trust Fund (HTF) $3.1 million; Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) $1.6 million; and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) $623,000. Please note, all proposed activities' budgets are estimates and will be proportionally increased or decreased from the estimated funding levels to match actual allocation amounts. Once drafted, the FY2022 AAP will be available online at the following address: https://wvcad.org/ resources, the State's 11 Regional Planning and Development Councils (RPDC), and by calling the WVDED at (800)982-3386. A 30-day comment period will begin on April 1, 2022 and will conclude on May 2, 2022. Comments will be received in the WVDED at the address below, attention Ryan Halsey, or submitted via email to Ryan.J.Halsey@wv.gov until the close of business on May 2, 2022.
